2023 ComPsych Health at Work Award

We are proud to announce that Red Wing Shoe Company has been recognized with a 2023 Health at Work Award from ComPsych, the world’s largest provider of mental health services. The award recognizes organizations across a variety of sizes, industries and locations who have prioritized employee health and well-being through innovative, multi-platform programs. Red Wing Shoe Company is honored to accept the top award for mid-size organizations!

Over two years ago, we embarked on a purposeful journey to build holistic programming in a variety of well-being areas including physical, emotional, financial, social, community, purpose and career. Employees continue to embrace the well-being tools and resources available to them. It is inspiring to witness our employees’ commitment and the impact it had on engagement and their perspective of their manager’s support of their well-being. In fact, 2023 employee engagement results show that 70% of employees view well-being at Red Wing Shoe Company as favorable and 76% of employees feels that their manager genuinely cares about their well-being.

Here are a few additional examples of what made Red Wing Shoe Company stand out:

  • Innovative care options such as digital coaching for chronic conditions, virtual physical therapy and lower cost preventive prescription drugs benefits.

  • Comprehensive emotional and mental health programming including access to online and digital mental health coaching, an Employee Assistance Program with expanded benefits and Mental Health First Aid training.

  • Interactive challenges and educational content to promote well-being such as physical activity, nutrition, hydration, mindfulness, financial wellness and sleep.

  • Personalized, one-on-one financial counseling with a Certified Financial Planner at no cost.

  • Charitable donations matched, including volunteer hours and company volunteer events.

  • Work/life balance support through hyflex work arrangements and enhanced paid time off programs.

Our continued program momentum is well underway. We’re exploring new well-being activities and support groups, adapting programs to meet the needs of specific work sites, and expanding internal story-telling efforts. Employee well-being is an important thread woven into the company’s culture and is essential to helping employees be the best versions of themselves.
